For the past 18 months, Colton Lipfert (grandson of the long-time residents Fred & Charlotte Lipfert) has been serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zambia. His newsletter—which has become a weekly feature amongst the Current Events Group—details his trials and tribulations of living in rural Africa, including rats falling from the ceiling, working with HIV patients, and a constructing medical waste incinerator and primary school. He will be presenting on his experience in Zambia, the work he's done for Peace Corps and beyond, and the daily struggles of villagers in his community. Colton is also an alumni of Columbia University and plans on attending medical school next year
