Best of Enemies is a political thriller by James Graham that takes place in 1968 America, during the ABC presidential nominating conventions, and follows the debates between two opposing intellectuals, Gore Vidal and William F. Buckley Jr.. The two men are ideological opposites, with Vidal representing the New Left and Buckley representing the New Right. The play explores the moral landscape of the country as the two men debate on a new nightly television format, challenging beliefs and altering television news forever.
