In 1871, a Literary Society was formed in Orient to provide entertainment for the public and to erect a Town Hall. Through their efforts Poquatuck Hall was built by James H. Young and completed in 1874. Learn how the building has become been a integral part of the history of the area as a venue for 140 years of lectures, public meeting, concerts, weddings and many other civic activities.
