Professor Emerita Dr. Natalie Naylor examines the life and career of the legendary master builder Robert Moses (1888 - 1981). He was responsible for creating nineteen state parks and fifteen parkways and expressways on Long Island, facilitating the growth and development of the island. His parks provided major recreational opportunities for all the residents of the metropolitan area, while his roads, most initially built to reach the parks, have become major commuting arteries. Together they fostered Long Island’s tourism industry.
